Ground Floor
A small hallway greets you as you walk into The Barn and there is plenty of room for boots and coats here.
The kitchen/dining room is spacious. The table sits six comfortably. It opens onto a charming private courtyard where there is also a table and six chairs.
The kitchen is well-equipped with an induction stove top, a single oven, small dishwasher and drawer fridge. There is a kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, normal crockery and cutlery and glassware and an assortment of cooking equipment.
In the larder is a microwave and freezer and a further assortment of kitchenware.
A laundry cupboard under the stairs contains a washing machine and dryer.
A downstairs loo is next to the hallway.
First Floor
A central staircase captures the light from both east and west and leads to the first floor sitting room. Headroom is low, hence the name of the cottage, but the room is larger than most cottages and two leather sofas provide a very comfortable and cosy feel. Views out to the harbour and the sea wall can become entrancing.
Second Floor
The central staircase then leads us up to the two bedrooms on the top floor. The east bedroom is slightly larger and has two bedside tables, a chest of drawers, hanging space and two drawers under the bed. Its views over the creek and beyond to the sand dunes of Gun Hill could be argued are the best in the village. The second bedroom is cosier with two bedside tables with drawers, hanging space and drawers under the bed. In winter you will capture views of The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club at Brancaster from this bedroom. In summer you’ll see squirrels darting along branches of the leafy trees to the west.
The main bathroom is on this floor where there is a loo, basin, mirror and shower over the bath.
